Before You Book
Everything to know before your session -- deposits, timelines, policies, and what to expect from start to finish.
A non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking to reserve your session date and time. The deposit will be applied toward your total session balance.
Your portrait session includes up to 5 subjects, a pre-session consultation by phone or email, professional editing based on the Experience selected, and an online proofing gallery.
Additional subjects are $20 per person.
Sessions with more than 6 subjects may require a larger studio. A $75 studio upgrade fee may apply. Please contact us in advance to discuss available studio options.
Final images are delivered by digital download only. Your digital collection allows you to download, save, print, and share your final images.
Professional prints and products may also be purchased through the online store connected to your proofing gallery.
The remaining session balance is due at the beginning of your session.
We accept cash, PayPal, Venmo, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express.
Kelly Monique Photography will make the final determination regarding weather-related session changes.
If there is a 40% or greater chance of rain in the forecast two days before your scheduled outdoor session, the session may be rescheduled. Clients may also have the option to move the session indoors, when available.
We will not photograph in weather conditions that may be unsafe for clients, staff, or photography equipment.
Kelly Monique Photography does not provide wardrobe planning or outfit coordination unless otherwise arranged. We work with several professional stylists and are happy to provide referrals upon request.
Please arrive dressed and ready to begin your session at the scheduled start time. You may arrive up to 15 minutes early if you need to change clothes before your session. Any special arrangements should be made in advance.
Please bring any hair products, brushes, combs, or other items you may need for touch-ups during your session.
Kelly Monique Photography is not responsible for stray hairs or styling concerns visible in the final images.
Outdoor and on-location session locations are selected by the client. The photographer may provide location suggestions upon request after your session has been secured with a deposit.
Standard session pricing includes locations within a 30-mile radius of ZIP code 77040.
Travel outside of this area must be discussed and approved in advance and may require an additional travel fee.
Please arrive on time and ready to begin your session.
We have a 15-minute late policy. Clients arriving more than 15 minutes late may have their session cancelled, and the deposit will remain non-refundable.
If you need to reschedule due to late arrival, a $25 rescheduling fee will apply.
If you choose to continue with the session after arriving late, your session will still end at the originally scheduled time.
When the photographer's schedule permits, you may have the option to pay a $50 late-extension fee to receive the full scheduled session time. Availability is not guaranteed.
Your online proofing gallery will generally be delivered within 2-3 business days following your session.
Final edited images will be delivered within 7-10 business days after your final image selections have been submitted.
Weekends and holidays are not considered business days.
If you need any image sooner, please select or request Rush Editing. Rush service requirements and fees apply even when only one image is needed early.
All images and copyrights remain the property of Kelly Monique Photography.
Your package includes personal printing rights to your purchased final images. Copyright ownership is not transferred to the client.
Images from the proofing gallery may not be downloaded, screenshot, edited, shared, or posted on social media. Only purchased final images may be shared or published.
Kelly Monique Photography retains the right to use photographs for portfolio display, website content, social media, marketing, advertising, publications, and promotional purposes.
Consent will be requested before publicly sharing images featuring children or minors.
If your photographs need to remain private until a specific date or special occasion, please notify us in advance.
Deposits are non-refundable in the event of cancellation.
Rescheduling requests made fewer than 5 days before the scheduled session will require a new deposit.
Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to make changes to your session.
You will select your photography Experience when booking. Your selected Experience determines the session structure, allotted time, and number of final edited images included.
Your session may not require the entire allotted time. Sessions are considered complete once the photographer determines that the necessary images have been captured.
Clients are responsible for providing their own personal props unless otherwise arranged.
If you would like Kelly Monique Photography to provide specialty props, decor, or custom set elements, additional fees may apply depending on the request.
Standard seating options for studio sessions are available from our Studio Collection.
Custom photo sets and specialty requests must be discussed and approved in advance.
Children are not permitted in the studio unless they are being photographed.
Parents or guardians are responsible for supervising children at all times.
Kelly Monique Photography is not responsible for a child's unwillingness or inability to participate in the session. Session time will not be extended due to uncooperative behavior.
If an issue with your final images is determined to be the result of negligence or a technical error by Kelly Monique Photography, a reshoot may be considered.
Reshoot requests must be reasonable, specific, and directly related to an issue within the photographer's control.
If a complimentary reshoot is approved, images from the original session will not be included as part of the replacement session package. Images from the original session may be purchased separately after completion of the reshoot package.
